Brief description on the major research interests
Our research is focusing on gene delivery, drug delivery and tissue engineering using biocompatible polymers. We design nano-scale carriers for nucleic acid delivery, nano-particles for anti-cancer drug delivery, multifunctional nano-rods for drug delivery and imaging at the same time, and microspheres as imaging agents. We also study about wound healing with growth factor containing nanofibrous mesh and hydrogel, nano-scale structures for stem cell differentiation, and surface modification of nanofibrous mesh for increasing drug incorporation efficiency.
