Microbial Pathogenesis and Food Safety
The main goal of our study is to better understand the physiological and metabolic responses of microorganisms and development of microbial resources. Current research areas include the isolation of bioactive compounds produced by microorganisms, new aspect of probiotic bacteria, application of rapid, selective, sensitive, and quantitative RT-PCR for detecting VBNC microorganisms, proteomic identification of unique biomarkers for understanding metabolic pathways associated with microorganisms, kinetic approach to predict the accumulated lethality of microorganisms, the study related to antibiotic resistance, biofilm formation of foodborne pathogen under stress condition and bacteriophage therapy.
